The problem: the safest room in your house isn’t safe enough. A false sense of security can result in disaster when violent storms strike. The solution: a StormBlocker® safe room. An above ground storm shelter that beautifully integrates into your home.

With StormBlocker® walls being only 5” thick, you'll save functional floor space and have multi-purpose usage out of your storm room. You don't have to compromise the feel and décor of your home.

A closet, bathroom, utility room, walk-in vault to protect valuables, and a safe room when the home alarm sounds are just a few purposes your room could serve.

Planning Tips

  • Prepare adequate space for your family (5 sq ft per person for tornadoes; 7-10 sq ft per person for hurricanes).
  • Consider space for pets, valuables, guests, and new members of growing families.
  • Choose an area within your home that is easily accessible.
  • Consider space for food and first aid kit.
